Cash-secured put screener
The best put to sell on every large-cap name, ranked by annualized return on capital. Built for premium sellers and the wheel: sell a put on a stock you would be happy to own, collect the credit, and keep it if the stock stays above your strike.
Open the screener →What it shows
- The 30-delta put to sell. For each name, the put about 40 days out nearest a 30-delta strike, the standard income-seller trade with roughly a 70% chance of expiring worthless.
- Annualized yield. The credit as a return on the cash you set aside, scaled to a year, so a 45-day trade and a 30-day trade compare fairly.
- Probability of profit and cushion. The chance the put expires worthless, and how far the stock can fall before your strike is in play.
- IV rank and an earnings flag. Whether the premium is rich right now, and a warning when an earnings date falls before expiry.
- Wheel-quality filter. Restrict the list to names above their 200-day with strong relative strength, the stocks you would actually want to own if assigned.
How it works
The screener refreshes during market hours so it reads live bid and ask, not a stale post-close quote. For every large-cap stock it computes the Greeks from the chain, selects the put nearest a 30-delta strike near 40 days to expiry, and requires a real two-sided quote, genuine open interest, and a tight spread, so every row is a contract you could actually get filled on. It then ranks the whole board by annualized return on capital.
Example: what MomentumSift shows
Here is the income screener sorted by annualized yield. Each row is the 30-delta put to sell on a large-cap name, with the credit, return on capital, annualized yield, probability of expiring worthless, downside cushion, IV rank, and relative strength, plus flags for an uptrend and for earnings landing before expiry.
The point is to compare real, fillable premium across names on the same footing. A rich yield on a falling stock and a modest yield on a quality name look very different once you turn on the wheel-quality filter and read the cushion and IV rank next to it.
How to use it
Start with the wheel-quality filter on, so you only see names you would be happy to own. Sort by annualized yield, then sanity-check each candidate on cushion (how much room you have), IV rank (whether the premium is actually rich), and the earnings flag (event risk before expiry). Learn the strategy in full in what is a cash-secured put.

- What is a cash-secured put screener?
- A tool that finds the best put to sell on each stock for income while you hold the cash to buy the shares if assigned. MomentumSift picks the roughly 30-delta put about 40 days out on every large-cap and ranks them by annualized return. See the full explainer.
- How is the annualized yield calculated?
- The credit divided by the cash you set aside (strike times 100) is the return on capital, then scaled to a year by multiplying by 365 divided by the days to expiry.
- Is selling cash-secured puts safe?
- No strategy is safe. You keep the premium if the stock holds above your strike, but you must buy the shares if it falls below, so you take real downside. A very high yield usually means a riskier stock.
